Cargologic opens new cold storage facility at Zurich Airport
After the Rhenus subsidiary Cargologic finished renovating the mezzanine floor of its premises at Zurich Airport in January this year, it has now inaugurated a cold storage facility.
The new Cargologic cold storage facility has a total of 120 spaces that are kept at a temperature of between +2°C and + 8°C. The importance of temperature-controlled storage locations is increasing steadily everywhere. With its additional cold storage area, Cargologic is catering in particular for customers in the pharmaceutical industry but can also store other types of perishable goods in appropriate conditions. The goods are deposited in order of the final AWB digit. The new cold storage facility will primarily be used for transfer freight of Swiss International Air Lines.
Marco Gredig, Managing Director of Cargologic, sums up the new facility as follows: "Our new cold storage area meets the demand for space and guaranteed temperature control – an important priority among our customers. We are thus very pleased to be able to make this storage area available to them with immediate effect."
